Screen Grabs of Construction
- Natasha
I used multiple audio and video channels in the construction of the trailer, overlaying data in order to add depth and dimension to the overall piece.
I used the razor tool in order to cut clips which needed to be separated in order to add images or flashes of a full black or full white screen.
I used the crop tool in order to crop video clips and create a split screen effect.
I used the circle effect to create a vignette on the video clips, this added depth and tone to the image, clearly portraying the genre of the trailer. In addition, I used the colour balance and brightness and contrast to give the video clips a blue tone and a darker effect, again, conveying that horror is the genre associated with this trailer.
I used the footage from the source list in order to sample sections of the video clips. I marked the in and out points and then insert it into the trailer in order to constructively edit, rather than deconstructively.
I used keyframes in order to create the zooming effect in the production company logo. I also changed the motion to bezier to make it smoother.
Text was added to the trailer where titles and logos were needed.
