When creating a character who is representative of the female icons among rock culture I chose to use Debbie Harry's image for compositional inspiration, including conventions such as soft lighting, revealing clothing and interesting and vibrant makeup. I felt that it was important to consider a more feminine presentation due to the fact that men and women are presented differently in the media, therefore effecting their representation of the target audience's rocker persona.

When considering an icon's image, it is clear that it is an important aspect in constructing a persona to represent rock music. Primarily, I have found that black clothing is a fundamental fashion aspect which must be considered in the presentation of a rock icon, therefore representing the social group which consist of rock fans, posessing the 'vampy' rock aesthetic. Below are other examples of black clothing being used in the front covers of rock magazines.

Key features to consider when perfecting my persona's physical apperance is the apperance of popular icons in the social groups which are consistant with the target audience of the magazine. Kat Von D is a popular celebrity among the target audience and carries the 'rocker' apperance effectively, encouraging the drawing of inspiration of her apperance to be a factor in creating my own rock persona.
