Clothing

The subject of the photographs will wear a satin corset over the top of a velvet dress with off the shoulder sleeves. She will be wearing black, heeled boots.

The outfit together portays the theme of rock music as it is all black, which his a colour which has strong links to this music genre and many artists appear in this coloured clothing, in addition to the clothing being made of satin and velvet, portraying a vintage style which relates heavily to Classic Rock.

The Final Outfit

Eye makeup

The eye makeup will be very dark, with the liner covering all around her eye and with black eyeshadow covering her entire eyelid. This relates to the magazine's genre as having 'smokey eyes' is typically expected of the stereotypical female rock star. In addition, it draws attention to the subject's eyes which should be the focus point of the photographs so as to draw the viewer into the photograph.

Lipstick

The lips will be dark and lined with a dark brown lip liner. I will then fill in the lips with a dark brown, matte lipstick. Dark lipstick has links to rock music and the gothic style.

Piercings

The subject will wear a septum ring in the photographs. This is because rock music has connotations with piercings, especially heavily pierced people. This contributes to the grunge, rock aesthetic.

Hair

The subject will wear her hair up in a messy pony tail. This is to avoid distraction to her face but also to portray the unkempt and messy style which relates to the traditional rock music stereotype.

Tattoos

I will apply face tattoos to my subject. This is because tattoos are heavily associated with rock music, in addition to many rock icons having tattoos. The subject of the photographs will have face tattoos based on Kat Von D's tattoos as she is widely appreciated in the rock music culture and has been on the cover of rock magazines before.

Jewellery

The subject will be wearing this gothic style necklace as the gothic look contributes to the rock aesthetic.
